Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye

Well. as luck would have it, I registered this domain and then went on a diet of sorts - the fitness challenge at work. So, I've severely curtailed my beer, soda, and pretty much anything else bad for you drinking. But last night, I fell off the horse, and had a Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye - a really tasty, hops-laden brew. It's massively hopped, but well balanced with hints of citrus, and the rye and malt do the rest of the trick. Overall, very good in my book

Manhattan Cask Ale Festival

Well, the first annual Manhattan cask ale festival is come and gone. It was a good festival, I went with the New York City Beer Meetup, so I had some good company that I had hung out with before there. Just like at the Brazen Head a few weeks back, my favorite beer was the Green Flash. This time they had an imperial IPA, not the West Coast IPA that they had at Brazen Head. All in all, the west coast IPA is perhaps one of the best IPA's I've ever had, and the imperial IPA was the besst at this festival.

It's here!

Here's the craft beer journal. I'll use this blog to post my musings on beer hopefully (instead of on my main blog). Other contributors are welcome as well, just shoot mail mail or a comment and a link to some writing about beer (I'm not picky - just wanna make sure that we're not talking about Bud Light here!)
